HEIRLOOMS. If we can’t have more than eleven character slots on one server, I want heirloom gear that’s actually Bind on Account so I can send it to other servers. I don’t need to be able to send gold or anything else like that, just the experience boosting gear. Be it via the ingame mail boxes or battle.net-account, it needs to be a feature available to players
NEW CHARACTER MODELS. Yes, I know it’s coming. Soon™ as they say. But it’s one of the things I’ve been longing for ever since I started playing World of Warcraft some four years ago. My main is a human priest and she looks about as exciting as a tree log at the moment. I’d give my right arm for some new hairdos too.

AN ALT-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT. Hello, my name is Alexandra and I’m an altoholic. Part of the fun for me is to be able to play many classes but at the moment it’s really hard and slow to gear them. Yes, I know Blizzard has taken a few steps towards making it easier (with Grand Commendations for example) but I really don’t want to do a reputation grind more than once if I can help it. Yes, you do get a 50% boost to valor points if you manage to cap them on one character. The trouble with this is that I never cap. I’ve done it about two or three times since Mists of Pandaria came out and usually very late before the reset. It’s the same for most of my guildies as well. This is bad, m’kay?

To me they should make the Void Storage work cross servers. Allowing you to transfer Gear, Cash, and other items between characters on the same account. And yes I'm an Altaholic as well. two full servers full of 80+s along with one 90, several 85s and a leveling 30 Monk. 22 characters in all 11 on each server on both sides of the fence. +>
ReplyDeleteYeah, some way to transfer BoA-items should be the bare minimum at least. Otherwise they should just start calling it BoS (Bind to Server). Money and BoE-items I could agree on as well. Maybe not soulbound things. (And my... that's a lot of characters :D)
DeleteGreat post alex :) couldnt agree more with all points made :)
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteFor the first point I find that for me Pet Battles fun but not worth an App, although I would still download it and play it on my Google Nexus because I am I doubt I'll be able to resist it lol.
ReplyDeleteAs for Heirlooms I couldn't agree more, I have all the armour sets and a few of the weapons that my alts can use but I only have one alt that can (and is using them) but my poor old other characters are sitting there without the "family" heirlooms I think my Other (other, other) Paladin is speaking to a lawyer!
New character models is a hard one, I am happy with the way my Tauren Paladin look but my Dreanei Paladin could do with a few more polygons. All round I would say if they do revamp the models they shouldn't change them to much just make them better (does that make sense? I hope so)
Reputation, boy! where to begin. I loved grinding reputation via tabards certainly made getting the rep easier, I think the issue was a little to easy, so they removed it and now it takes just to long even with the rep bonus item. I would love to see rep put back on to tabards even if they reduce the amount of rep per mob kill. I have max out VP twice now with out changing faction rep from Honoured to Revered and have spent the VP on upgrades instead so I can earn more.
One last note, I would like to ask you this, would you have any objections to having players be able to form dungeon groups (maybe even raids) cross faction?
Oh boy, cross faction... that's a tough one. I'd have to say no to that I think. Just because the entire game is based on the animosity between the Horde and the Alliance. That is the basic conflict and even if you take out all the other big badies from the game the Horde and the Alliance would still be there, fighting eachother. Besides there is always the option of faction changing nowadays :)
DeleteConsider then that through the lands of Azeroth, no matter what faction you play at some stage you will take quests from races that are from the opposite faction or maybe consider the fact that the Druids at Moonglade represent all the races Tauren, Night Elf, Troll & Worgan (ok not been to Moonglade in a while but are there Trolls and Worgan there?) any way you get the idea. With this and the fact that both factions are typically at war why should it not be possible for cross faction groups to run instance?
ReplyDeleteDo you still give the same answer? :)
I'm not saying it isn't possible, I just think it's better to keep that interaction to such "neutral" factions rather than involving the Horde or the Alliance :)
DeleteMust be just me who thinks this is an epic idea then. I think not having entered a Battleground for the last 3 expansions have made me a little hippyish :)
